Note for those who have forgotten their classics or coding:

• 2 + 2 = 5:  A nod to Orwell’s 1984: the ultimate mark of postmodern society, where political power compels us to endorse what is plainly false.

• 1 + 1 = 10: Binary code, the language of computers, expresses everything in terms of only two digits: 0 and 1. In this system, "2" is expressed as "10." The cold math of a technocratic future that views people as digits rather than souls.
